Evidence est une méditation sur le pouvoir du langage et l’indétermination du réel, ainsi que sur les paradoxes de l’archive et du paysage. L’image, qu’elle soit visible ou lisible, est le simple reflet de ce qui, de l’expérience individuelle et collective, nous échappe invariablement. Ce rapport fragile entre sujets vivants et artéfacts historiques est représenté par la matérialité joueuse de la soie qui fait apparaître et disparaître le document.

Evidence is a meditation on the power of language and the indeterminacy of reality, as well as on the paradoxes of the archive and the landscape. The image, whether visible of legible, is the mere reflection of that which, of individual and collective experience, invariably eludes us. This fragile relationship betwen living subjects and historical artifacts is represented by the playful materiality of silk, which makes the document appear and disappear.
